BogMail for .NET

What is BogMail for .NET?

The BogMail program is a small utility that sits in the system tray of your Windows desktop and periodically checks to see if you have any new mail. This is inspired by similar applets for Linux that are included with the KDE and Gnome window managers.

This is a continuation project based on the original BogMail project. It has been completely re-written using C# and the Microsoft .NET™ Framework with Visual Studio .NET 2003.

Installation

To install, simply download the package and uncompress with your favourite ZIP software (WinZip, WinRar etc.) and execute Setup.exe. The installation wizard will guide you through the process. The software can be uninstalled in the usual way using "Add/Remove Programs" from the Control Panel.

Current Version: 1.0

The release version ass support for the following: SpamAssassin filtering. Speech synthesis notifcation of new mail and errors. Improved handling of non-standard date formats that contain both numerical and symbolic representation of the time zone. Only a single instance of BogMail can be run at any one time.

All personal information on this site including electronic mail addresses are private and may be used only for those purposes explcitly indicated.
