BogDICT

What is BogDICT?

BogDICT is a client for the DICT (RFC 2229) protocol that allows words and phrases to be searched within reference media such as dictionaries, thesauri and encyclopaedia.

This was developed using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 but is pure unmanaged machine code and should run on any 32-bit version of x86-based Windows™. The MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes™) 7.1 runtime libraries are required and will be installed automatically during the setup process.

Installation

To install, simply download the package and uncompress with your favourite ZIP software (WinZip, WinRar etc.) and execute Setup.exe. The installation wizard will guide you through the process. The software can be uninstalled in the usual way using "Add/Remove Programs" from the Control Panel.
